Is my PC performing like it should?
A PC can correctly identify its hardware and still run slower than expected because of temperatures, power limits, background software, driver problems, or configuration issues.
What PC Dyno tests
The current dyno is intentionally short: a small CPU workload plus a GPU render. It is designed to catch obvious underperformance without turning a simple specs checker into a long stress test.
How expected performance is built
The server does not trust a hardcoded score sent by the app. It builds a median baseline from other physical PCs with the exact same component model and benchmark version. Repeated scans from one PC do not create its own comparison group.
Why results can move
Laptop power mode, thermals, drivers, Windows updates, background apps, overclocking, and firmware settings can all affect a short benchmark. PC Dyno therefore uses broad ranges and treats the result as a sanity check rather than a laboratory measurement.
